Jaime Montemayor is a Managing Partner at Amrop and a member of Amrop’s Global Board. With 25+ years spanning executive search, leadership advisory, and hands-on commercial and P&L leadership, he advises boards and CEOs on mission-critical leadership decisions—where discretion, judgment, and execution quality are important.

Combining an operator’s perspective with rigorous advisory discipline, Jaime is most often engaged for complex directive, C-level and board mandates: CEO and C-suite succession, leadership assessment and team effectiveness, board design and independent director appointments, and senior executive searches in multi-stakeholder contexts. His work sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—helping clients strengthen leadership capability during transformation, growth, and inflection points.

His experience spans industrials and infrastructure (including chemicals, automotive, and manufacturing), consumer and retail, and digital and platform-driven businesses across the Americas. Recent work includes CEO and C-suite succession, COO and commercial leadership placements, CIO roles tied to digital transformation agendas, and board composition and governance enhancements.

In addition to his work, Jaime is a private investor and serves as an independent board director. Guided by a service-oriented leadership philosophy, he is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), mentors entrepreneurs through Endeavor, and has volunteered in social-impact and mission-based work over the past decade.

Jaime holds an MBA from Cornell University (Johnson), completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business Board Program and the IPADE Business School AD-2 Program, and earned a B.S. in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
