Guus' journey reflects this belief, having started his career in 1995 with ABN AMRO, where he held management positions in network and product marketing in the Netherlands and Italy. Following a successful six-year period as an entrepreneur, leading his own company specializing in search, selection, and coaching, he held HR management positions at Aegon, Knab (as HR Director), and Kinly (as CHRO). Guus holds a master's degree in economic law from Utrecht University in the Netherlands.

With his extensive experience in banking, insurance, fintech, and entrepreneurship, Guus possesses a comprehensive understanding of the industry. Separately Guus has built up a CHRO network crossing all industries. Having experienced both sides of the table, he has a nuanced perspective on organizations and the dynamics within teams and between individuals. This unique insight allows him to identify the ideal candidates for specific roles, whether building teams from within or through external means.
