Adam is a connector, entrepreneur, executive search professional and passionate champion of Calgary's business and philanthropic communities.

In 2009, he founded Pekarsky & Co., an award-winning Calgary-based executive search firm that grew into one of Western Canada's most respected boutique search practices before merging with Amrop Rosin in May 2025.

With more than 25 years of experience in executive recruitment and leadership advisory, Adam has built his career around a simple belief: business is fundamentally about people and relationships. Known for his extensive network, candid advice, sense of humour and ability to connect people, ideas and opportunities, Adam has helped organizations across Canada identify and attract exceptional leaders while building a business deeply rooted in the community it serves.

Adam's commitment to Calgary extends well beyond his professional life. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Calgary Municipal Land Corporation, where he chairs the Human Resources and Compensation Committee. He is a former director of the YMCA of Calgary and Tourism Calgary, and recently chaired the YMCA's Camp Chief Hector Capital Campaign, which raised $15.8 million. His firm's commitment to community was recognized with the Association of Fundraising Professionals' Small Business Philanthropy Award in 2025.

An enthusiastic educator and mentor, Adam has been a sessional instructor at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Law since 2018 and participates in the Law Society of Alberta's Mentorship Express program. He is a frequent speaker and commentator on leadership, recruitment, entrepreneurship and the importance of community engagement.

In 2025, Adam published The Ampersand Chronicles: Stories of a Small but Mighty Business in a Rough and Tumble Town, a collection of stories and reflections drawn from his experiences building a business, navigating relationships and celebrating the characters who make Calgary tick.

"A leader is best when people barely know he exists; when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves." - Lao Tzu
